It's tempting to wish for the perfect boss - the perfect parent - the perfect outfit - or even the perfect life. But maybe the best any of us can do is not quit, play the hand we've been dealt, and accessorize what we've got.
I am a sappy SAPer, an ABAPer in particular. Programming is NOT my passion but I've learned to love it, or shall I say, I just got used to it.
If I am to compare my life with an ABAP program, it would:
- Be of VERY DIFFICULT complexity
- Take at least 972,360 mandays to develop
- Be of NORMAL priority
- Have BUGS and PERFORMANCE ISSUES from time to time
- Incorporate a lot of calculations and interfaces
- And so on..and so forth...
To sum it up, it would take a lifetime for a programmer to develop and may never be validated to production.
